Participation in two major research projects: "Strategies for forest planning and management in Colombia” and "Improving environmental sustainability by linking technological options within the framework of the national strategy for cocoa cultivation". I supervised studies with emphasis on silviculture and supported other areas. We achieved the following results:

• protocols for propagation and seedling production of native species with timber and ecological potential were established.
• generation of allometric equations for tree growth and volume
• biomass and carbon estimation by direct and indirect methods
• precipitation interception by the forest canopy
• image processing to estimate leaf area index and forest cover.
