Work History

Senior IT Service Specialist

Cielo S.A.
02.2016 - 11.2024
  • At Cielo my main activities were look for improvements on batch flow focusing to ensure SLA and identified areas for cost reduction and optimized budgets in the production department where I had to understand the demand from the Project Managers and find a better way to implement it. All those implementations occurred both Mainframe and distributed systems and they were implemented on CA7 (CA WLA → Mainframe) and Control-M (BMC WLA → MF and Distributed Systems) which I am the admin
  • I was dedicated to projects for the high availability of Control-M agents in On-Premises/Cloud environments and to automating the creation of JOBs so that it would be possible to insert this activity into the DevOps CI/CD
  • Responsible for the migration Control-M from version 8 to version 9.0.19.200 and from version 9.19 to version 9.21.200/300, where I had to define a high availability architecture for the application and database, which were now on the same machine
  • I was responsible for the migration and creation of the ETL environment, where it was migrated from a UNIX AIX machine to RHEL machines, which included a different architectural solution for implementing the batch mesh
  • Projects that I was and still responsible by the batch process to exchange files between On Premises environment and AWS S3 bucket and EC2 services using Control-M and its plug-ins
  • Another big project I am currently involved in is ensuring HA (High Availability) and DRP (Disaster Recovery Plan) in all our production environments (e.g. Mainframes, file servers, application and DB servers, etc)
  • An important project I worked on was to change the way we send financial files to the banks, clients, etc According to the BACEN rules. It involved some schellscripting and batch scripting to perform Connect Direct transmissions and encrypt/decrypt files. All these processes were orchestrated by Control-M batch JOB
  • I was responsible for migrating the batch JOBs running on TWS (IBM's WLA tool) to run on Control-M. All those JOBs were SAP JOBs that I integrated with Control-M using Control Module for SAP (SAP ECC and BW). For all other JOBs, I had to make sure that the migration was transparent, because in most cases the servers were migrated 'as is', and in other cases the O.S. and IP addresses were changed, affecting shell scripts (bash, ksh and sh) and firewall rules. The number of batch JOBs affected was approximately 2,000
  • There were other parallel projects to implement batch JOBs and file exchanges using SFTP (from on-premises to S3 Bucket) and Connect Direct

Senior Production Analyst

Cetip S.A. ([B³])
09.2010 - 02.2016
  • Part of the production team where we worked with the development team to homologate and schedule/implement batch JOBs from mainframe and distributed systems on Control-M (WLA and scheduling tool) which I was the admin
  • On Mainframe, we had to create the JCL (JOB Language Control) according to the development team's documentation and schedule it on Control-M
  • On the distributed systems, we did the same interaction with the DS development team and scheduled the programs to be called by Control-M, using .bat (Windows) or shell scripts (Linux)
  • The orchestration between mainframe and DS was done by Control-M and some automation with Connect Direct, File Agent (Connect Direct), REXX (script language of MF), batch file and schellscripts
  • My team and I were also responsible for controlling the lifecycle of the programs, both mainframe and distributed systems, using Changeman for (MF) and Serena Dimensions for (distributed systems)
  • One of the biggest projects I was involved in was the migration of the mainframe S.O and hardware from VSE to z/OS. My team and I had to convert the JCL and COBOL programs to run on the new OS
  • Another important project was to automate the process of car financing, where the banks and other financial institutions sent some batch files to be processed and a contract to be included at a responsible body of government base by the financed vehicles. For the development of this project I used File Agent (add-on of Connect Direct), Connect Direct, REXX language on mainframe and Control-M to orchestrate batch JOBs. That process was done manually by transferring the files to the mainframe and processing the JOBs one by one without any WLA/orchestration tool
  • Migrating the version of the Control-M tool from 7 to 8, for which we had to create a highly available environment with DR

Senior Production Analyst

T-Systems do Brasil Ltda
04.2002 - 08.2010
  • I worked in the Scheduling and Operations team, always with mainframe but some feel activities of DS. My main activities were to monitor the workload with a homemade tool called AJM and to act against some ABENDs (Abnormal End) of a batch JOBs
  • As an operator I had to keep the system alive by monitoring the massages on IBM consoles, do the shutdown and IPL (Initial Program Load) when necessary, do the backups on tapes (MF and DS), but I started to work as a printer operator, operating an IBM Infoprint 2000 printer
  • The main project I worked on was an offshore project where my team and I received some requests from T-Systems Gmbh (Germany) to schedule JOBs on AJM (Homemade WLA tool) for the customer DaimlerChrysler Gmbh. That tool, AJM, did not have a graphical view of the JOB chain and I developed it using the REXX language
