José Henrique Alves De Oliveira

Electrical Engineer \ Data
Campinas, Sao Paulo

Summary

I am a passionate technology and engineering enthusiast, driven by a strong commitment to continuous learning and personal growth. I hold a degree in Electrical Engineering from UNICAMP (University of Campinas).

My key strengths include rapid learning, resilience, a positive attitude toward challenges, and effective teamwork. I have a solid foundation across multiple technology domains, including programming (Python, C/C++, among others), architecture design, infrastructure (networks, virtualization, cloud, and containerization), software requirements, technical documentation, data analytics, machine learning, and more.

I believe my skills could add value to CI&T particularly in areas related to machine learning — including supervised and unsupervised learning, statistical models, and deep learning. This knowledge was acquired through an MBA in Data Science and Machine Learning, complemented by practical, hands-on exercises.

I also could provide value with my experience in data processing (ETL), data architecture, and a strong background in both traditional IT systems and modern cloud/containerized environments.

Work History

Application Design Engineer

Alstom
08.2023 - 08.2025

In this role, I am primarily responsible for designing control center software for railway line monitoring, integrating multiple signaling subsystems with the Railway Signaling SCADA system. I am also responsible for the implementation of Strategies to deploy and solve customer issues.

My key responsibilities include close collaboration with Software developers, network architects, and project managers to ensure seamless SCADA integration across signaling projects. I also provide critical support to test and commissioning teams by setting up infrastructure and deploying applications.

Notable projects I contributed to include Mexico’s Tren Maya in Yucatán and the ROCA Line revitalization in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

One of the most significant challenges I faced was spending several months on-site in Mexico, working closely with testing, commissioning, and network teams to integrate a Railway Control Center software with field equipment entirely from scratch. This project was particularly demanding due to its large scale and complexity, requiring adaptability, technical depth, and cross-functional coordination.

Verification and Validation Intern

Alstom
10.2022 - 08.2023

In this role, I was responsible for creating test procedures for railway signaling systems and preparing virtual platform environments, including their interfaces, to support on-site testing activities. I was also in charge of managing and deploying virtual environments for both testing and production purposes, ensuring reliability and consistency across project stages. At this role i learned a lot about virtualization, development environments and test procedures. In this role i was inserted in the unity and integration test phases of v-model in a engineering cycle.

Project Portfolio Intern

Alstom
02.2022 - 10.2022

I worked in the project management area, assisting managers with data visualization and the automation of tools for extracting financial data and generating project reports. In this role, I gained substantial experience in Python programming and worked extensively with data-driven frameworks to support decision-making processes and improve operational efficiency.

Electric Powertrain Team Leader

Unicamp E-racing
01.2021 - 01.2022

For one year, I was responsible for electric power train projects in the Unicamp E-Racing student Formula team. My work focused on traction system control and the development of embedded software for the team’s Electronic Control Unit (ECU), contributing to the design and implementation of efficient, high-performance electric vehicle systems. My main responsibility was to define software requirements and develop the ECU software.

One of the most demanding aspects of this role was preparing for a high-stakes competition, where the pressure to deliver a competitive vehicle was intense. In 2020, I also played a key role during a major team restructuring following a critical incident, stepping into a leadership position to help reorganize processes and maintain project momentum. At this role i learned a lot about Electric automotive system conception in overall. From Interfaces with Mechanical teams, to interfaces with other subsystems.

Technical Area Member

Unicamp E-racing
01.2019 - 01.2021

I worked in both the Electronics and Electric Power train divisions of the Unicamp E-Racing student Formula team. During this period, I was involved in sensor integration projects and contributed to the development of embedded hardware and software for electric vehicle systems. At this project my main responsibility was to program embedded systems using c and c++ and develop Algorithms to smoothly transfer and process data between sensors and Processing devices .
