QUALIFICATIONS: Besides my current position in the cardiac surgery recovery ICU, I have also worked in other cardiological departments at the same hospital, including the medical-surgical unit, emergency center, and surgical center, dealing with adult patients with heart disease. More than 1 years of clinical experience in cardiac nursing care working in the hospital witch is qualified as a “Reference Center for High Complexity Cardiovascular”, and is part of the “National Center for Regulation of High Complexity – CNRAC”, serving patients from the North/Northeast Regions of Brazil.

I assess patient and reviews available information obtained by other health care team members and I reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the appropriate caregiver, also I initiate a plan of care based on patient-specific needs, assessment data and the medical plan of care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team. I revise the plan of care to reflect changing patient needs based on evaluation of the patient’s status, also I supervise staff and work flow of the department.
I assists physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment. I administers medication as prescribed, and monitors intravenous infusions. I delegates tasks to support staff and I models proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare. I teach needed information for self-care and illness prevention. I am open to learning and expanding my skills as a nurse, which may include taking part in courses and trainings, as well as pursuing new specializations.
