Luana Dandara Barreto Torres

Motivated and detail-oriented Environmental and Urban Engineer with 7 years of experience in environmental research, sustainable development, sanitation solutions, water and sediment quality, and water resources monitoring. Skilled in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet tight deadlines and accomplish projects within budget. Expertise includes investigating the environmental fate of chemicals (pesticides) in water, as well as studying aspects of social engagement in sustainability, quality of life related to environmental health, and food security. Additionally, I have a solid foundation in science communication, as a TEDx speaker on women in science, and an English teacher since 2009.
