Responsible for ensuring tax compliance for Volvo in Brazil, supporting the tax planning and strategy, working as a partnership with businesses.

Projects contribution

• Brazil Tax Reform for VAT rules change: responsible for managing the project with tax team, by discussing the changes, resources needed, systems and businesses impacted. The project started in 2024 and the full implementation will be in 2033.
• Special regimes with tax authorities of Parana State and Curitiba Municipality: support on preparation of requests to the incentive for VAT (ICMS and ISS), which contribute on cost reduction and cash flow management.

Business partnership and tax alignment

• Assist in developing and implementing tax analysis models to assess the tax impact of new operations and business structures, ensuring compliance and efficiency, such as BEV for Trucks and Bus.
• Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams (Accounting, P2P, Commercial, GTP, GTO, Penta) to integrate tax considerations into strategic business decisions.
• Support the optimization of tax processes and assist in the implementation of technologies for automation and improve operational efficiency.
• Work with the team in managing tax audits and preparing responses to inquiries from regulatory bodies.

Responsible for ensuring tax compliance for VCE, performing the VAT calculation, providing reports for tax authorities, external auditors, supporting the tax planning according business and the tax legislation.

Projects contribution

• Support on preparation and negotiation of São Paulo State incentive for VAT (ICMS), contributing with cash flow and VAT tax credit management for imported materials and machines.
• SAP implementation for sales: tax key user.

Responsible for monitoring tax legislation changes, adapting tax processes and systems, prepare tax calculation and revision related to Federal and State VAT incentives in Free Zone of Manaus, advise management on tax details related to business operations and credit release.

The first industry that I worked for, performing activities like invoice postings and VAT calculation, providing tax support to business areas for new initiatives, merge and acquisitions, and planning opportunities.

Projects contribution:

• SAP implementation, acting as key user of Tax.
• Support on VAT (ICMS) release during the merge and acquisition process of the company.

Listen to the customers needs and provide to them a satisfactory solution were the main knowledge on this professional experience. My role was basically support the customers on questions and configurations about hardware and software used by perform internet bank operations.
