Marie Ange Bordas, cultural medium, journalist-photographer and author of French-Brazilian youth books. After a career as a journalist-photographer in Brazil, New York and Paris, I have been developing collaborative projects with young people and children for 20 years, on the subject of refugees and displaced persons, the protection and disseminating of traditional knowledge, and the role of self-governing communities in the protection of biodiversity. Many of this projects have been rewarded and supported at international level by major humanitarian and educational institutions, and many of these long-term projects are based on the creation of hybrid photo-illustrated albums, where documentary and literary fiction are woven together through a playful and engaging mise-en-page. My main current interest is to encourage individuals motivated by ecology and durable communities by promoting both environmental awareness and the link with nature as complementary drivers of ecological behavior.
