The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Full Time Missionary, São Paulo, Brazil, 2012-04, 2013-08, I served as a full time missionary for one year and four months in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I learned the language in less than six months and then I kept improving my pronunciation and grammar. I created a very close relationship with the people in Brazil. I made of their culture part of who I am now. I had the opportunity to listen to people's lives stories and problems and help them with encouraging words, scriptures and service. I served every single day with my best heart and strength. I was able to forget about myself, my ego and many selfish desires which I didn't realize I had while living my normal life at home. I never felt happier than when serving and loving God's children. I am grateful that I was given the opportunity to serve as a missionary in Brazil., Tasks/Achievements
