I used to work as a bilingual customer service representative for two European airlines named Air France (France) and KLM (Netherlands) in their loyalty programme, Flying Blue. International Experience - Youth Ambassador for Tsunami Awareness
In high school at 15 years old I was chosen as a youth ambassador for the 2019 Japan Tsunami Awareness Summit that gathered students from 43 different countries around the world. Me and other 4 classmates alongside an English teacher traveled from São Paulo to Japan in order to participate in a summit about natural disasters held in Hokkaido. During a tour that lasted 11 days we travaled through various locations and regions in Japan visiting many historical and archeological sites (such as museums and vulcanoes) to learn about the history of Japan´s biggest natural disasters and the mechanisms behind tsunamis, earthquakes, typhoons and vulcanic eruptions. In Hokkaido I was responsible for making a presentation about the natural disasters that we have in Brazil and answering questions from the other teams. We spoke to students from the whole world and had a valuable cultural exchange. All communication was in English and being a fluent English speaker was a necessary criteria to qualify for the programme.
