Work History
Senior Data Engineer
CERC S.A.
São Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil
04.2025 - Current
I served as project leader, working in close collaboration with technology and business teams to develop new workflows and build data processes in the Billing area, delivering a monthly impact of millions of reais recovered from delinquent/defaulted accounts.
I restructured and refactored workflows to improve the performance of high-cost processes in a real big data production environment. I refactored more than 5 workflows that together totaled approximately 6,000 lines of code, reducing average execution time by 5× (making them five times faster). To accomplish this, I deeply analyzed data and task statistics to identify the main bottlenecks, including data skew, inadequate partitioning, poorly designed aggregation and join logic, serialized operations, and other root causes.

10.2021 - 03.2025
I led several data projects, the most significant being the cloud migration of the Databricks data environment (from Azure Data Factory to Google Cloud Composer/Airflow). I organized and led a team of 15 people and orchestrated the full migration of all workflows and related technical decisions. The migration covered approximately 80 workflows and 50 dashboards.
I developed both classic and AutoML-based machine learning models (forecasting, regression, and classification) for the Payments and Fraud teams, generating real business impact by preventing fraud on the order of R$20 million annually and delivering strategic KPIs through Power BI dashboards.
