United Airlines is one of the leading Airlines in USA. It is the third largest Airlines in terms of number of flights that fly every day. We provide application maintenance and support for over 450+ applications. We follow ITIL process for ticket resolution and do minor
enhancements and defect fixes as part of our day-to-day activity.
I worked for the different teams and applications.
1. Customer Care Artificial Intelligence
The CUCAI helps the end users to give feedback about the airlines after their travel is complete. This application is developed using Angular, Java, Couch base (backend) and TIBCO. I take care of the TIBCO related activities in the application (Enhancements, Bug fixes and Incident resolution).
2. Flight Plan Manager
FPM application is used for monitoring the flight take offs. Flights that are scheduled for departure needs to be released from the system first. The flight scheduled for departure goes through the following checks like FUEL, MEL, WIND, Crew and weather Info checks.
After releasing the flight from the system pilot will get the flight plan through WEBPSS. We will monitor the flight till take off for any possible issue and handle it appropriately.
3. Cargo
Here I have worked on the Sky Chain and RTS Tool. Here I take care about the Cargo Planning, Customer Contact, Export Operations, Import Operations. I have taken care of all the flight creation process in system from departure to arrival. I have designed the TIBCO BW process here to process the DEP and ARR message and other updates related with flight or airway bill to the application.
