Literature Review on the Economic Costs of Mastitis
Under the supervision of Prof. José Pantoja, I conducted a literature review research focusing on the economic costs associated with mastitis in dairy farming. The research analyzed international academic articles to identify and evaluate the main cost components, including milk production losses, veterinary treatment expenses, milk discard, labor costs, and indirect long-term impacts on animal welfare and productivity. This study synthesized findings from diverse sources to provide a comprehensive understanding of the financial burden of mastitis, offering valuable insights for decision-making in dairy management and animal health economics.

• Focused on maintaining the health of dairy cows, with an emphasis on disease prevention and treatment.
• Participated in reproductive management activities.

Extension Project in Integrative Veterinary Medicine

The project involved regular visits to a local non-governmental organization (NGO) focused on animal welfare. During these visits, I participated in the integrative treatment of animals, combining conventional veterinary practices with complementary therapies to improve their health and well-being. This approach included a holistic perspective on animal care, addressing not only physical conditions but also the overall quality of life for the animals.
